Pre-Ceremony Pictures

We want to know if you plan on seeing your fiance before the ceremony on your wedding day. This is a growing trend and can put a major twist in tradition. If you don't mind breaking the tradition of not seeing each other before "I do", the "first look" can have some great positive spins on the wedding day.

For starters, and I think most photographers would agree with me, the first look makes for some awesome pictures! This is the perfect opportunity for you and your fiance to see each other and really let the emotion show on your faces without having to worry about crying in front of everyone. It is a more private moment between the two of you and hopefully a really great photographer can capture that emotion in the photos. Plus if you do cry, you have time to go fix your makeup before walking down the aisle.

Another great thing about this up and coming trend is that is allows for the bride and groom to be a part of their cocktail hour and mingle with their guests instead of taking pictures together during this time. You still may want to take some family shots at this time, but it won't take the whole hour.

What it all boils down to, much like everything else, is preference. Nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to weddings with a twist. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, just do what makes you and your fiance happy and you'll be fine.
