A Country House Wedding

HOT! HOT! HOT! This June wedding was a scorcher, and I'm not just talking about the weather. The bride and groom were hot, as were the decorations, food, and the guests. This particular couple hired me for partial planning and their wedding day coordination. It was so much fun to be involved in the planning and all the little details that went into it and then see the final outcome. I'd like to share it with you now:

We hired Julianne Abernathy of Lash Out Couture to do the bride and bridesmaids makeup for the big day.

It came out beautiful!

The flowers were professionally and elegantly designed by FloraBella Florist. Pink calla lilies, gerbera daisies, roses, greenery and more! The bouquets and boutonnieres were gorgeous!

FloraBella also decorated the church pews with these white bows and pink gerbera daisies.

The ceremony was at St. Rita's Church in Hamden. The aisle is very long there so we had to get a 125 ft. aisle runner as opposed to the standard 100 ft.

The pretty Unity Candle.

The bride actually made these programs herself. They came out fantastic!

These bubbles were given out while the guests were going through the receiving line after the ceremony. Once everyone was outside the church, the bride and groom made their grand exit down the stairs of the church through the bubbles that the guests and the bridal party blew!

After the ceremony the bridal party went off to take formal pictures at Edgerton Park.

At the entrance to the Country House I set up the placecards that the bride chose. Prior to the wedding I wrote the guests names and table numbers on them along with their dinner choices on the backs of the cards.

I set up this memory table at the entrance of the room at Country House in memory of special family members that had passed away. Of course the candles were pink and green. It looked really nice all lit up.

This was my favorite part of the decorating! Because the linens that Country House offered did not exactly match the wedding's color scheme, we opted to use plain ivory linens and add our own touch of color! Each table had an alternating green and pink satin table runner...

...with the opposing color floralyte in the vase of the centerpiece. The long-stemmed calla lilies were provided by Country House.

I also sprinkled some jewels on the table for some extra BLING along with pink matchbooks with the bride and grooms names and wedding date.

The cake was amazing! Simple, yet elegant and of course decorated with pink and green accent ribbon!

Everyone danced the night away! It was lots of fun!

I had such an amazing time helping to plan and coordinate this wedding. Kristina & Jimmy are a great couple and I was honored to be a part of their special day. I wish them all the best.
