Those wedding facilities want your money, no matter what day of the week you give it to them. They are even willing to give you a substantial discount to fill in the weekday gaps (Monday-Thursday). If you're like many others today saving money is where it's at! While Friday and Saturday might be more traditional days for a wedding, more and more couples are breaking away from that tradition to save some green. Added bonus: It opens you up to practically any date that you want. If you have a special date (the day you met, for example) that you want to keep as your anniversary, but maybe it falls on a weekday the year you want to get married, now you can have it! It also opens you up to nearly any venue. Your first choice can be guaranteed.
One thing you should consider, however, is giving your guests plenty of notice. It may be difficult for them to get a day off from work or leave early, so if they are important enough for you to invite, they are probably important enough for you to want them to actually be there. Save the date cards are great for instances like this. Just make sure you include the DAY along with the DATE so your guests realize it may call for some additional planning on their part. Also keep in mind that it might be a good idea to end the wedding somewhat early because not everyone will have the luxury of taking the next day off from work.
When it comes down to it, the most important thing to remember is that you are marrying the person you want to be with for the rest of your life, so who cares if it's on a Wednesday?
Thank you to LifeTiled for the beautiful images of Krystal & Jimmy's wedding!
