Return to Sender

I had 2 questions from 2 different brides this week about return addresses, so I figured it was a blog topic that could potentially help other brides with questions.

The first one was about the return address on the wedding invitation. Who receives all those response cards? I t depends on who is hosting the wedding. If the bride and groom are paying for the majority of the wedding and they live together, it is OK for them to receive the response cards, therefor their home address would be on the response envelopes. If the engaged couple doesn't live together or the parents are hosting the wedding, usually the parents of the bride receive the response cards and their address would be on the response envelopes.

The second question was about the return address on the save the dates. These are not as formal as the wedding invitation and require no response on the recipient's part, so it is perfectly OK to put the bride's (and groom's if they live together) address on the outer envelope of the save the date.
