A growing trend that I have been seeing is a wedding reception program. Most people are familiar with a ceremony program, but a reception program is less popular and can include anything from the menu to a bride and groom's formal send off at the end of the evening.
Reception programs are a good way to keep your guests in the know about what the evening holds for them. If there will be a photo booth during cocktail hour, put that in there! These are also a great way to thank your guests for sharing in your day, make a dedication to a deceased loved one, and introduce your bridal party.
I took the events of my own wedding and created an example of a wedding reception program:

PARY TIME!
Carisa dances with her father to "Butterfly Kisses". Carisa chose this song because she remembers her mother telling her how it made her father cry.
RJ dances with his mother to "Simple Man", performed by Mean Carlene with Bobby Moran on lead vocals.
Thank you for sharing in our special day!
Love, Carisa & RJ Lockery
This wedding is missing someone very special, RJ's father, Richard Lockery, Sr. We miss you every day and know that you will be watching over us, our marriage, our home, and your future grandchildren.
These don't have to be formal - have fun with it! And don't make it look like a timeline (leave those for US). Things don't usually happen to the minute during a reception so don't throw your guests off with times. The cocktail hour and dinner times should be noted though so that guests know when to be seated.
Happy planning!
